It has a black background with amazing floral and bird motifs throughout. The designs are raised and painted in golds and rusts. The top has a lovely lattice metal front with gold florettes. You can see through to the shelves inside. The door and secretary can be locked/opened with the skeleton key. The desk has a beautiful cubby area for accessories and two drawers with pink interiors - I'm obsessed with that detail =). The bottom of the piece features three, nice sized drawers. It's such a special, statement piece. less
