Faithfully carved like the originals, each is a beautiful … more These are beautifully constructed Chippendale-Style chairs, made from gorgeous mahogany wood. Faithfully carved like the originals, each is a beautiful testament to the craftsmanship put into each one. They are incredibly sturdy. They have been upholstered in a very high-quality tiger print fabric, likely the Pierre Frey version, or the Scalamandre. It is not a cheap synthetic velvet, but a beautiful looped style jacquard. These are likely late 20th century reproductions from either Maitland-Smith or Henredon, but they are wonderfully crafted, quality chairs. They bear no markings of maker, which were likely removed when this beautiful upholstery was added. less
