Richard Nissen started producing his own designs sometime in the mid-1960s, with a focus on domestic Danish distribution, and by 1979 was the biggest producer of handcrafted goods in Denmark. Availability in the US was much smaller than Dansk, limited mostly to home goods specialty stores and design retailers. less
