Antique Swedish stone pot in soapstone made in northern Sweden around 1820 to 1840. The pot would have been used to prepare food over open fire. Made by hand from soapstone which is a soft type of stone. The pot is specifically from Jämtland in northern Sweden. It has some minor marks and traces after use and is an unusual item to find. It measures 26 cm including the handle.
