Jonathan de pas (milan, 1932 - 1991) graduated from the faculty of architecture of the polytechnic of milan in 1959; after a collaboration with marcello nizzoli, in whose studio he met the model maker giovanni sacchi, he started his own studio in 1960 with vittorio bozzoli, joined shortly afterwards by donato d'urbino.
donato d'urbino (milan, 19 november 1936-) is the son of the architect manfredo d'urbino, author of numerous buildings in milan and, after the second world war, of the reconstruction of the synagogue in via guastalla 19, with eugenio gentili tedeschi; he is a classmate of jonathan de pas with whom, after having completed a short internship period while still a student at the studio of augusto magnaghi and mario terzaghi, he will immediately begin to collaborate.
paolo lomazzi (milan, 21 february 1936-) studied at the athenaeum, the école internationale d'architecture & design in lausanne in the years 1955-56, where he met alberto sartoris who would have a strong influence on his education. He completed his internship in the studio of giulio gianoli, and then concluded his apprenticeship in 1957, working in the bbpr studio in milan. In 1958 he founded studio s.24 with lorenzo raschi and carlo iachino, in via solferino 24, followed by the studio together with his wife, the architect carla scolari, in the building in via rossini, where he also met jonathan de pas and donato d 'urbino. Thus the de pas - d'urbino - lomazzi partnership was born in 1966, in which carla scolari, vittorio bozzoli and, from 1967 to 1969, also vittorio decursu collaborated initially.
