Popular 1960s Abercrombie & Fitch necessity for the chic home. The story goes that “Old Bill” who worked in the leather trade made a leather pig footstool from offcuts of leather circa 1927. He continued to make leather pigs until his retirement in 1958, when the company became Dimitri Omersa. Based on the shape of the long nose and ears on this pig, it was created much earlier than the 1960’s. Other leather animals came after Dimitri Omersa. See less
