A lot of elements within my visual language coalesced in making the work, setting my practice on a slightly different tangent to what I had been producing previously. Really pleased with the balance of figuration and negative space, handling of painted space in general as well as the tactile quality within the work.
In terms of content, the painting focuses on maternal/familial female relationships from a post Barbie movie perspective.
