Robert Kuo is a Chinese-American designer and artist known for his work in the fields of furniture, lighting, and home decor. Born in Taiwan in 1949, Kuo grew up in a family of metalworkers and studied traditional Chinese design and art at the National Palace Museum in Taipei.
In the 1970s, Kuo moved to the United States and began working as a designer and craftsman, drawing on his background in traditional Chinese design and combining it with contemporary techniques and materials. His work is characterized by a fusion of Eastern and Western design elements, with a focus on natural materials, organic forms, and intricate details. less
