Chinese porcelain Fu Bats dragon bowl, finely formed with a gilt rim, a polychrome glazed interior, and a white glazed exterior and inset base. The interior rim is accented with a band of pink Ru Yi ganoderma heads, accented with leafy vines, under 12 alternating red and blue Fu Bats on a turqoise ground. The bottom interior is decorated with a finely drawn, five-clawed, green, sky dragon, rising above oceanwaves and spume, chasing the Pearl of Wisdom, amid scattered, red and blue, tinged clouds and red, Taoist flames, all on a yellow ground and encircled with a pink band bracketed by gold trim circles. Five, finely drawn, red, Fu Bats adorn the exterior forming the Wu Fu Min Len, (the five blessings of health (康寧), wealth (富), long life (壽), Love of virtue (yu hao te 攸好德) and peaceful death (考終命). A blue, four character, Yongzheng reign mark is glazed to the inset base. The finely carved, traditional, Chinese, hongmu, plate stand is included. Circa early Republic of China era, no later than mid century.
