Sergio Bustamante ceramic hatching cat produced in 1991. Signed on the egg and comes with a letter of authenticity. Since the 1960s Bustamante has produced iconic sculptures exploring Mexican surrealism.
Bustamante, a Mexican sculptor, is best known for his depictions of animals and inventive humanoid creatures in mediums papier maché, wood, bronze, and ceramic, Bustamante’s sculptures are often painted or glazed, allowing him to bring even greater heights of imagination and surrealism to his creatures. Born in 1934 in Sinaloa, Mexico, he had his first exhibition at Galeria Misrachi in Mexico City in 1966, and continues to exhibit his work around the world.” less
