This beautiful pheasant family figurine is made by the National Potteries Corporation (Napco) in Bedford, Ohio, in 1938.
Napco started small, producing ceramics like vases and candy dishes.
It changed course after the war, becoming predominantly an importer of Japanese ceramics.
During its 1950s peak, Napco was one of several companies that manufactured or imported kitschy home décor.
This figurine features the pheasant family, a mother, father and baby chicks. It is hand painted in soft bold colors.
The original sticker is still intact. Great vintage condition. Very slight paint wear.
Approx meas 10" T; 11" L; 6" W; 3.2 lbs wt, prior to careful packaging.
