A 2x2’5 vintage Persian Gabbeh rug, hand-knotted in wool circa 1950-1960. One of the latest additions to Rug & Kilim’s curation of rare tribal pieces, with an individualistic attitude and collectible design.
On the Design:
This mid-century style piece features an animal pictorial pattern, namely a lion in beige-brown atop a rust red background. Keen eyes will admire fine floral patterns in the border, which bost similar colorways with black accents and green highlights of an alluring movement.
