Antique Mid 19th Century Gilt Iron Front "Garden of Eden" New Haven Clock
This is a rare New Haven Clock Co "Garden of Eden" clock dating to the late 1850's, Victorian Era. This clock features a cast iron front with gilding. It has a filigree open work style with a depiction of the scene of the Angel banishing Adam & Even from the Garden of Eden or Paradise. Beautiful depiction of foliage, flowers, and palm type trees. There is also a serpent entwined around the tree in the cent. Clock face reads "New Haven" and it has a wind up mechanism which no longer works. Clock measures 12" high, 9" wide, 3" deep, and weighs 4 lbs.
