Hand painted cobalt blue underglaze and mulberry monochrome … more A pair of antique French porcelain Sevres style pedestal footed urns, vases. Hand painted cobalt blue underglaze and mulberry monochrome (pink rose) landscape scene with gilt lions head handles with Sevres marks on underside of both bases. Similar Images on the front side of each vase and different on the back side. Gilded design at top of neck and on base is palmette and anthemions. Cartouche image surrounded by a Vitruvian scroll. Faint hand painted writing on the underside of one are the words, “modele et decoration exclusive a la main”. Circa late 19th Century. less
