The table measures 95" … more A rare circular extending dining table attributed to the well known Italian designer legend Gio Ponti.
The table measures 95" in length with 3 existing original extensions, the mechanism allows for one additional extension which can be made for a total of 111" Long. Without the extensions the top is 47.75" in Diameter.
When extended the table measures 95" Long and will show all 8 legs, see detailed photographs. One additional extension of 16" can be made for a total length of 111", although the wood may differ.
Refinishing of the extensions is possible, price quoted upon request.
This round dining table was manufactured in Italy in the early 1950s. The sculptural frame is executed in solid beech wood and consists of a cross base with 4 legs. The top has recently been revarnished. The combination of the high quality materials used and the craftsmanship of the construction make this a refined piece.
This fine quality and stunning Gio Ponti attributed extendable dining table will enhance any setting. It would look particular striking in a modern or contemporary themed home. less
