This painting is one of the works from the "fetishes" series that natasha lelenco created throughout the year 2022 to be featured in the international exhibition nordart 2022 in büdelsdorf, germany. Artist natasha lelenco paints a surreal image of plants and everyday items such as a shoe or a telephone resembling the human form. She constructs a pareidolia using botanical and popular elements, creating an image that humorously references the popular 80s song by steve wonder from which she borrows the title "i just called to say i love you". Part of a subset within her fetishes series, where she draws from musical memory in conjunction with her visual memory. The composition addresses the theme of humanity's role as just another part of the community of the living. This collection features portraits crafted from a combination of thematic elements related to popular iconography, advertising, and the human experience within the living community. The artwork is midway between figuration, portraiture, still life, and abstraction. Natasha lelenco, born in chișinău, moldova in 1982, is a prominent moldovan painter and contemporary artist who has been residing in galicia, spain, since 2008. She is especially known for her figurative work, particularly in the realm of portraiture. Holding a degree in fine arts from the university of cluj-napoca in romania, her art has been featured in numerous international exhibitions and art fairs, exploring themes such as memory, the human as an integral part of the community of the living, and popular imagery. - Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller

Cancellations
