Kelholt studied at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam between 1970-1976. Very minimal yet high refined appearance showing a great artistic eye. Interesting play of lines and geometric shapes and textures. The sculpture earns his name 'Kloving' (gorge / cleave) to the the split in the middle, very intriguing how the thick strong steel is cleaved into two parts and bends open to the top slightly. The sculpture shows a beautiful raw structured surface. Marked at the bottom, provenance: Dutch National collection. In excellent original condition. See less
