Listed in a who’s who of American Artist, Robert is a well listed artist, and was very well respected by his peers and the art world alike. In 1965, he was established at the Hotel des Artistes, in New York, and in 1967, was asked to join the ranks of portrait painters at Portraits, Inc., on Park Avenue. His accolades go on and on, and his achievements well documented.

The painting is of Philanthropist and well known psychiatrists Sarah Jastak of Deleware. A building at the University of Delaware Campus has been named the Jastak-Burgess Hall, reflecting her contributions to the University. Sarah had also been an avid collector of art, and continued to enlarge her eclectic collections over the years. She and her husband have been recognized by the University of Delaware for their donations of Eastern European and Russian Icons and amber, in additions to many paintings and sculpture.

Sarah's philosophy, along with that of both of her late husbands, has been that they were only temporary custodians of beautiful works with a duty to preserve them and pass them on for the benefit of the public. To this end they exhibited their art and opened their home and gardens frequently to the public.
