This Paul Klee Foundation rare vintage 1960 collector's lithograph art print " La Belle jardiniere " 1939, is a very special and unique piece to add to your collection. The lithograph print is published by Shorewood reproductions Inc. New York, NY.,in cooperation with The Paul Klee Foundation, printed in an unnumbered limited edition in 1960. It features an original artwork created by Klee in 1939 titled " La Belle Jardiniere ".
Lithographs issued in the 1960's by Shorewood Publishing represent the gold standard of 20th Century Fine Art printing. These lithographs were painstakingly produced to match the colorimetry of the originals, with the most accurate possible detail and subtlety. Paper and inks were chosen for the most felicitous effect.
Paul Klee ( 1879 - 1940 ) the Swiss born artist is attributed to creating some of the most original and colorful paintings of The 20th Century. His highly individual style was influenced by the movements of Expressionism, Cubism, and Surrealism, as well as the simplicity of the Bauhaus designs. He and his colleague Wassily Kandinsky both important color theorists were educators at the famous Bauhaus School of Art and Design in Germany. Artworks by Klee are included in the collections of many of the worlds most prestigious museums.
The rare out of print collector's lithograph art print measures 22 1/2" W X 28 1/2" H. It is in very good vintage condition consistent with age, use, and light signs of handling.
