- These are very old. When you see the back of these figurines you see all the work done to carve … more These are very old. When you see the back of these figurines you see all the work done to carve them. They are very tall and heavy.At first i thought they might be Polynesian or Pacific Island. But the wood looks and feels heavy like an oak wood. The detail in each women is amazing. One is holding flowers that are cut, and the other is holding a hand held sickle, a small farm tool to cut flowers or grasses. They look amazing together. less
