A hand made antique cherry wood sewing box with a boxwood inlay decoration on the top. Corners have hand cut dovetail joints. The interior has button tufted satin inserts. It has a interesting paper label on the bottom with Information about the 13 year old boy that made this box as a school project in Washington DC in June of 1907. Most likely made as a gift to his Mother or Grandmother. It has a locking mechanism but it comes with no key. It has its Original Varnish - Finish. It Measures 4 1/2 inches Tall x 9 1/2 inches Long x 7 1/2 inches Wide.
