Gorgeous late 20th century set of four matching rattan and oak barstools made in the California organic modern coastal style by McGuire. The barstools feature a rattan swivel seat with a gracefully curved spindle back. The seat is upholstered with a mid-century style striped fabric. The stool is supported by thick round pole legs that are conjoined by stretchers and a round patinated brass footrest. The exposed joints are reinforced with leather rawhide laces. Very strong and stable with excellent joinery and craftsmanship designed by Hans Kaufeld for McGuire. The rattan and oak has a lovely blonde finish with a desirable aged patina. Each chair has a McGuire plaque and original border tags on bottom. The chairs have a pearl M signifying their highest quality bespoke creations. From an estate in Hollywood, CA. Sold as a set of four.
