Please zoom in to check the condition before buying. The desk shows wear consistent with its age and usage. The fold-down shelf displays writing marks and other paint marks. The upper left side of the cabinet has imperfections, as shown in the photo. All the locks on the drawers, as well as the fold-down shelf, work well, with the exception of the second drawer from the bottom. All the drawers open and close as they should. There are minor imperfections on the front. Structurally, the furniture is in great vintage condition. If you are in the market for a desk that's in exceptional condition, then this isn't the one. On the other hand, this is a great vintage Baker Furniture desk at a great value if you can live with some imperfections. less
