Whimsical, stylized figural salt and pepper shakers are functional pieces of art with a distinctively mid-century modern style loosely representing … more Whimsical, stylized figural salt and pepper shakers are functional pieces of art with a distinctively mid-century modern style loosely representing male and female forms. The shakers have small holes in the eyes for dispensing the salt and pepper and larger holes on top for filling the shakers. They feature matte and semi-gloss black and white glazes over gray unglazed clay, with minimal decoration and "Mrs. Salt and Mr. Pepper" handwritten on top. The shakers measure about 5” high x 3” diameter and are in very good vintage condition with minor scuffs and marks here and there. One piece is signed on the bottom as shown and dates these to the 1950s. less
