A beautiful Japanese cloisonné vase in a deep red pigeon blood enamel with scale and bamboo shoot design. The top enamel design is cherry blossoms and chrysanthemums.
With silver plate rims to the top and the bottom dating from the early to mid part of the Showa reign (1926-1989).
An accompanying vase in the collection stand is marked with provenance from 1961 and part of a serviceman's collection from the early 1960's
