I’m fascinated by crows and ravens, partly because they’re beautiful and partly because they’re amazingly smart. When I paint them, I usually try to capture their intelligence. This raven seems to me to have a bit of a sense of humor as well.

The pattern behind the raven is my own design, and is based on sacred geometry. In Lisbon, where I live, many of the buildings are covered in colorful patterned tiles. I love being surrounded by patterns, and I enjoy creating them myself.

This painting is sold unframed, and will need a mat and frame to protect it. The painting measures 7.5” x 5.5” inches. The paper, including the white border, is 11” x 8.25” inches. It is signed on the paper below the painting.

I will carefully pack the painting for its trip across the ocean. It will be shipped by DHL International Express. They will shepherd it through US Customs and deliver it to you within 2-4 business days from the date it leaves my studio. less
