Monumental late 20th century Maitland Smith Empire style Bouillote / Budoir lamp. Made from brass with a pierced and paw footed base over an acanthus wrapped column leading to a figural winged Phoenix / Griffon candlestick center below large oval silk shade. Trophy finial rises on long column over shade. The lamp is unmarked, label was removed in showroom. Provenance the Ferolito Gerhard Collection, A gallery of fine reproductions from Maitland Smith and Theodore Alexander.
