There are two sections both about 15" that are missing the metal trim. The right side "operable" drawer, is cracked and needs to be reattached. There are three other areas where the metal trim needs to be reattached to the wood with the proper adhesive. The metal trim along the perimeter of the desk top is still attached and affixed securely, but in some areas there are paint scuffs. There are scuffs and small gouges in various areas on the ebonized wood. Surface wood shows a bit of "crackling." The leather surface fortunately, doesn't have any significant tears, but rather only a couple of minor imprints that do not distract from the eye. No missing hardware. I have tried to document and disclose all damage and imperfections to the best of my ability. See photos. Please request detailed video (2) and I will provide. less

Rectangular top with a lovely apron above three drawers, shape of which mimics the apron (drawers on both front and back, but operable/functional only on one side). Raised on cabriole legs with bronze ormolu sabots and striking bronze ormolu chutes on four corners. Lovely ormolu scrolled handles flanked by shell with a heart center design. A similar Louis XV writing desk was featured on "Millionaire Dollar Decorators in Mary MacDonald's introduction." This is an authentic antique originating from the Robert Winthrop Groton Place Estate in Old Westbury, NY, so comes with an impressive provenance. Please request "video documentation" for detailed visual description. Still impressive, but with a bit of restoration this French antique desk will dazzle. less
