This pair of fauteuil chairs of an unusual squared shaped backrest of larger, oversized, ridgid concept derived from Louis XIV in the transitional period with all the sloping lines of traditional Louis XV models. Hence, a fine reproduction with excellent refined workmanship of wood frame with painted warm gold gilding surround and fine woven jacquard sateen upholstered fabric. gilded wood surfaces, ornate details of conch shell, scrolls, acanthus vines. A strong oversized shape with soft sheen materials and color pallet that will warm any space. Mix and match styles, suitable for many decorating interiors, traditional, victorian, contemporary mixes where old meets new. Works well for bedroom, living spaces, dining room accent chairs.
Traditional stripe pattern of blush peachy-pink with antique white, pink, yellow, green and light blue that mimic fine porcelain china pallet.
In very good preowned condition, some minimal discoloration on the seat, staining in a few spots that can be seen on very close inspection.
