Description: This lovely pair of fauteuils with carved wood frames feature a combination of needlepoint and petite point upholstery with brass … more This lovely pair of fauteuils with carved wood frames feature a combination of needlepoint and petite point upholstery with brass nail head trim. If you look closely they are each a little different- but each elaborately carved with serpentine backs, seat rails and crests- one with a flower and one with a shell at the top. The arms are padded and carved with acanthus leaves and are raised on cabriole legs. Each chair has a bit different seat back with courting scenes in needlepoint and petite point in cream, gold, dark gray, brick red and orange tones and are complimented by a black background. The seats both have eagles, flowers and trees facing opposite directions. The back of the chairs are upholstered in a light brown-toned woven fabric. less
