Al Dallah is the name given to the pot in which Arabic coffee is prepared. The word “Dallah” was not found in the ancient Arabic language dictionaries, But it was derived from the word “Dalwa” which mean in the language of Levant people the bucket we use to pull the water up to us, while the pot we use to make the coffee is called “Rakwa” in Arabian Peninsula.
This “Al Quorasheia” dallah-coffee pot was made in “Makkah” (Mecca), and attributed to the “Quraysh” tribe. Made of high quality yellow copper (Brass copper -zinc alloy) with high luster and artisan decoration. The handle is made of bronze.
Hand-crafted around 1940s in the Arabian Peninsula. This authentic hand-made dallah reflects ancient dallahs originality, a trait which is important with collectors.
Dimensions: 10 inches long, 9.5 inches high, 5 inches wide (25.5 cm x 24 cm x 12.75 cm).
These pieces are unusual, collectible, striking and shall augment your décor. Vintage or antique unique Copper home accessories are very versatile. They can complement a range of interior styles, from rustic kitchens to contemporary living rooms! This marvelous metal, also looks great in industrial style spaces.
Condition: Very good for age. Signs of traditional usage and age. Shows normal soot mostly at the bottom (amorphous carbon, produced by the incomplete burning of organic matter). The pot displays some minor dents from obvious use, as shown in the photos. But, it is still very solid, functional, and a real conversation piece. Item has not been cleaned or repaired. Item is sold in the same condition as inherited.
