The French had a lovely tradition of gifting their children with a “Marriage Armoire” upon their wedding. The intricate carvings, enhancing both the doors and body of the armoire, reflect the overall design characteristic of such marriage armoires. The armoire has been painted in a delightful watermelon red, adding a touch of vibrancy to its aesthetic. Restored to its former glory, this antique armoire is in very good condition. While minor surface imperfections consistent with age and use may be present, there are no mechanical or structural issues to diminish its overall appeal.
