Collagraphy is a printmaking process in which materials are glued or sealed to a rigid substrate to create a plate. Once inked, the plate becomes a tool for imprinting the design onto paper or another medium.
"Winter Dream" is 10.75" W x 11.5" H. Framed dimensions are 19.5"W x 21"H.

About the artist:
Born in Mansfield, Ohio, 1943, Dave Appleman received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1966 from Bob Jones University and his Master of Arts degree from there in 1967.
Appleman has had numerous exhibitions at colleges, museums, galleries, and special events throughout the southeast. He has received such awards as: Top Purchase Award, 20th Annual Guild of SC Artists; Purchase Award, Columbia College, Columbia, SC; First Award, Guild of Artists, Mansfield, OH; Purchase Award, Massillon Museum, Massillon, OH; and Grand Prize, Darlington Arts Festival, Darlington, SC. Three of his works are included in the South Carolina State Art Collection, Columbia, SC. He has exhibited in galleries in Colorado, California, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, Ohio, North and South Carolina.
His works are included in numerous private, corporate, and museum collections and he is listed in Who’s Who in American Art. He retired after 42 years of teaching in the Division of Art and Design at Bob Jones University. less
