Every year Tivoli (the world's most famous amusement park in Copenhagen, Denmark), lets a new Danish artist design the poster art for the coming season.
The artwork of the poster was created by Otto Nielsen in 1976 who also made a lot of other SAS commercials during 1946-78 and a part of the decoration of JFK airport in NY. The posters are often abstract and colorful motives with animals or famous buildings on display.
The poster displays a multi-colored scenery symbolizing the famous firework of Tivoli which can be seen every evening during the summer season. In the lower part of the image you can see the famous pantomime roles of Harlequin and Columbine which are strong symbolic characters of the magical Tivoli Park. less
