Description: An exceptional example of Venetian glassblowing mastery, this large and impressive vase made by Antonio Salviati is sure to impress! … more An exceptional example of Venetian glassblowing mastery, this large and impressive vase made by Antonio Salviati is sure to impress! All handblown elements are fused together to create this masterpiece. Its in a vibrant apple red, embellished with gold leaf inclusions is further decorated with whimsically applied figural fishes. The detail and workmanship is outstanding. The fishes have realistically applied eyes and they create a dramatic contrast with their vibrant gold leaf inclusions. The vase is finished off with applied ruffles surrounding the circumference. This makes a fabulous centrepiece and an amazing addition to a themed display, circa 1900-1910. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
