The textiles … more Feast your eyes on this beautiful redesigned chair by Monica Cortright for The Whiter Shade of Pale Collection. The textiles are from high end textile houses of Holly Hunt, Pollack and Schumacher. All these beautiful fabrics combined, create this masterpiece. The main fabric on the front of the chair is reminiscent of
the inside of an oyster shell. It’s slightly iridescent and simply gorgeous. The fabrics and the lines of the chair are masterfully designed to create a chair that truly makes a statement.
This chair has a cushion that is considered plush and it can be flipped as it has a different fabric on each side for a bit of a different look. The surrounding welt is a copper colored silk that adds to the design and the custom look of this fine chair. The back and outsides of the chair are covered in a platinum gray tweed. The cambric (fabric underneath the chair) is a beautiful embroidered fabric. Monica calls it lingerie. There are beautiful copper tassels that are attached with a decorative straight pin so they can be easily removed if desired.
The legs are black.
