A pair of very fine quality antique French Louis XVI style gilt bronze ormolu mounted mahogany side chairs, attributed to luxury Parisian furniture maker Maison Krieger (1826-1910)
Exquisitely hand-crafted in Paris, France, in the late 19th century, exceptionally executed in sophisticated King Louis 16th taste, crafted of warm rich mahogany, mounted with finely chased and chiseled doré bronze mounts, having a spindled splat, over padded seat in red fabric upholstery with ribbon trim, rising on tapering fluted legs. Well documented Krieger work, with no apparent signatures, which is typical of chairs, possibly under upholstery on frame or back of bronze mount. circa 1890
