The vintage advertising match striker does triple duty as a striker, matchstick holder, and decorative ashtray.

Founded by Albert Keen in 1885, the Herald Square restaurant was a popular mainstay of New York City's 19th-century theater district. A men's only establishment until 1905, Keen's opened its doors to women after the actor Lillie Langtry won her discrimination court case against the establishment. Keen's English Chop House changed ownership in 1979, underwent renovation, and reopened as Keens Steakhouse.

The vintage ceramic match striker ashtray is in good condition showing wear consistent with its age and use. The ceramic match holder ashtray does not have any chips or cracks.
