Description: We are selling this great symbolic 18th Century oil on canvas painting. This Memento Mori painting comes from the North … more We are selling this great symbolic 18th Century oil on canvas painting. This Memento Mori painting comes from the North Italian school of Painting. It is now a dark portrait of “Father Eustacchio Mansueto Piella” with label on the back that might be translating the small piece of paper on the front. “Della Compagnia Di Gesu Nato a Bologna del 1707- Morto a Cremona il 28 Martzo 1759.” The painting has very prominent Memento Mori theme with Father in black, donning his cap, pointing at a crucifix, a Skull, and an hour glass. Quite in your face reminder, Memento Mori!

Condition: Some old damages, repairs, and heavy crazing as expected on an early 18th century painting. Some possible over painting but I didn’t blacklight it.
