Gorgeous ceramic vase with a charming hand painted scene. Features the moon over a lake surrounded by trees, reminiscent of Swan Lake. Beautiful grayscale coloring of the painting draws the viewer into the peaceful, dusky evening. Maker's mark on the underside was used by Wittenberger Steingutfabrik in Prussia between 1887 to 1904 before they added "Germany" to the stamp. Could be used to hold flowers or add an artistic embellishment to any table or shelf.
