Original oil painting on linen by listed artist KNUD OLSEN (Danish, 1878 - 1951) dated 1926 that captures a path through a beautiful park adorned with majestic trees. Signed and dated lower right. Professionally framed in a substantial wooden frame at a cost of $518.95. Ready to hang.
Knud Olsen was primary a landscape painter and painted regularly in “Dyrehaven”, the grand park connected to the amusement park “Bakken” in Denmark. He also travelled around in Denmark to portray the magical Danish landscapes he loved so much. His travels took him to cities and villages including Jyderup, Vinderod and Snekkersten, where he stayed and concentrated on capturing the special light and shadows he found in Danish landscapes and villages.
