This unique salvaged ornamental architectural stairway newel post has been hand-crafted in the 19th century Baroque period
This solid oak wooden stair rail newel post is really top quality workmanship with voluminous openwork decor with a lot of rocaille curves with acanthus leaves
The post is from around 1750 in the Baroque style/ Louis XV style
Height of the post is 96 cm and approximately 33 cm deep and 15 cm wide. The square base is 11.5 cm x 11.5 cm. The stair post weighs 9.5 kilos
