Handsome open arm lounge chair, model KK161, designed by Kai Kristiansen and manufactured in Denmark by high-quality furniture maker, Magnus Olesen. This very comfortable chair is made of solid teak with two loose cushions that are upholstered in a green fabric. Includes a label that reads "Made in Denmark, Magnus Olesen, Durup" with two Danish furniture seals. A hard to find chair by one of the greats!
Measurements:
Overall size: 26" w 28" d 26" t
Seat depth: 19"
Seat width: 20"
Seat height: 13"
Arm height: 20"
Weight: 18 lb 4 oz
Condition:
Good vintage condition with the chair in solid and sturdy shape. The base with the springs is removable and sits nicely in the chair frame. It doesn't have any sag and feels just as springy as it probably was originally. The chair may have been a little crudely stained at one time as you can see some drip-like variability when you inspect the finish closely, primarily in the front under the cushions. The cushions were reupholstered in period appropriate avocado colored fabric, but I believe the seat zipper should have gone on the back (it's on the side).
