My mother-in-law purchased this early 1900s oak swivel office chair along with an oak rolltop desk from an estate sale in Abington, PA in 1968. The chair has the manufacturer's mark, The Sikes Company of Philadelphia.
The warm oak hues of this chair were obscured by layers of dark varnish. My husband and I refinished this piece to match the companion rolltop desk ( a separate listing). This piece is in excellent condition. We're sad to part with it, but we're downsizing.
