*The L.E. Smith Glass Company, founded in 1907 in Ohio, was a prominent American glassmaker for nearly a century. They produced a wide variety of decorative glassware, from tableware to vases and figurines. While some of their designs were original, L.E. Smith was also known for recreating popular styles from other glassmakers and from earlier eras. Their glassware is particularly sought-after by collectors for its affordability, durability, and iconic patterns like the "Moon and Stars." The company ceased operations in 2005, but their glassware remains a cherished piece of American design history.
