19th century carved wood panel. The panel is carved the same barbed quatrefoil (heraldic rose) design on both sides of the panel. The panel was a pieces of a hidden wall door to a hidden cabinet in a library room, hence carved on both sides. The face of the panel is stained dark chocolate brown and the back of the panel is lacquered dark chocolate brown. The panel was removed from the door frame and is in unframed condition. The panel is 53 cm X 53 cm, or approx. 20 3/4" X 20 3/4". The edges are 8 mm, or 5/16" thick.
The face of the panel (stained) has some nick and dents, scratches from use, no wood chipping, no wood splitting. The back of the panel (lacquered) is in great condition. The panel can be used in a furniture project as a door.
