The thick and heavy dome green glass lamp shade is white on the interior, which reflects and enhances the light shined by the single light bulb inside. This lamp is not a reproduction. The green shade has a sort of 2 tone shading which indicates it is old. There is a small knob under the shade to tighten or loosen it so you may direct the light where you desire.

The base and arms of the lamp are a rich slightly aged brass. I love the little brass pull for turning the light on and off. The base is also extra large for stability, something else you won't find on the reproductions. I have cleaned up the brass base quite a bit to make it shine, but it was tarnished at one point. There are small spots that are not able to clean but they do not distract from the beauty. less
