Description: This classic American style still life oil painting on canvas depicts a scene of one peering out of a barn … more This classic American style still life oil painting on canvas depicts a scene of one peering out of a barn onto snowy country landscape. The attention to detail in this painting tells a story of a busy farm hand. The “Purina" flour sack near the wheelbarrow, the shovel leaning up against the wall and the pail hanging on the gate. The shading within this portrait is stunning. The artist signature is in the lower right corner, Fran Cooper, 1975.

The artist may be unknown to you, but she was well known by me. She is my late mother, artist, Frances Cooper. I remember fondly sitting at her feet as a young child in the 70's as she painted away.
