They show the intricacy of the design from the inside and the outside of both the cup and saucer. Delicately hand colored, they were reproduced in colors to match those on the prints. This represents an incredible find, as the factory was founded by Thomas Minton in 1797 and is still operating today.

Unique print with two medallions, different from the other listings. These look great when grouped together or for a gallery wall. See other listings.

The Minton China Factory was opened in 1793 in Stoke-on-Trent, England. By chance someone doing research at the Factory in the late 1900s, came across these original tea cup designs in the archives. They showed detailed drawings in watercolor paint, of the exterior and interior of the original tea cup designs that were produced at the Minton Factory, Circa 1800s. Following this, the designs were reproduced in a book titled: “A Cup of Tea” by Geraldine Holt in the late 1900s. These are vintage prints from the book. less
