A rendering of fallen, endangered Lobaria pulmonaria lichen, which grows on the branches of trees in areas of very clean air and indicates a mature healthy forest. Also called Lungwort or Frog’s Blanket.
Drawn from nature with a crow quill pen with ink, charcoal, pastel, colored pencils and gouache on mushroom dyed cotton paper. The paper size is 15” x 22.5”, on a beautiful 100% cotton Rives BFK paper. The last photos show several framing possibilities.
